High Point Academy offers the following sports for middle school students 5th through 8th grade:
- Fall: Co-Ed Flag Football (6th-8th grade), Girls Volleyball (5th-8th grade), Co-Ed Cross Country (5th-8th grade)
- Winter: Boys and Girls Basketball
- Spring: Boys and Girls Soccer, Co-Ed Volleyball
Player fees are $50 for every sport played, and players must provide a current sports physical from a doctor. Students are provided a uniform jersey at no cost, but it must be returned to the school at the end of the season. Students who do not return their uniforms will be charged $35.
This is a character-based competitive league. The coaches work the teams very hard and they aim to win, but they decide on student play-time by skill, determination, and hard work. The harder an athlete works, the more play time he/she can expect to receive.
All athletes and parents are required to sign a liability waiver and conduct contract and the HPA Agreement. In addition, a sports physical must be submitted clearing the student for sports. All athletes must maintain a grade of ‘C’ or above in all classes. Weekly eligibility reports will be based on Friday progress reports sent home with each student, and a grade of ‘D’, ‘F’, or ‘BEG’ (responsibility courses) in any class renders the athlete ineligible for any games that Friday through the following Thursday.

Girls on the Run is a program that inspires girls to be joyful, healthy, and confident using a fun, experience-based curriculum that creatively integrates running. Each Girls on the Run session culminates with a celebratory 5k run for participants, coaches, friends and family. HPA offers fall and spring Girls on the Run opportunities for 3rd – 5th-grade girls. After-School Activities Clubs
After-school activity clubs meet from 3:45 – 4:45 p.m once weekly for 6 weeks. We offer three sessions, fall, winter, and spring. The fall session will begin in October 2020, the winter session will begin in January 2021 and the spring session will begin in March 2021. Registration will open three weeks prior to the start of each session. The fee for participation is $50 a child per class. Classes that have been offered in the past include: Chess Wizards, Taekwondo, Snapology, arts and crafts, hip hop dance, first LEGO league, digital music production, sketch art, intramural sports, and volleyball skills. Cub Scout Pack 501 meets at HPA on most Wednesday nights at 6:30 p.m. The Cub Scout program is aimed at boys in 1st – 5th grade and is a fun, educational, and positive way for boys to enjoy safe and wholesome activities.
