Our Husky History
High Point Academy opened its doors in August 2006 with just 189 students and a vision—to create a school where wellness and community go hand in hand. Set where Denver, Aurora, and Brighton meet, High Point Academy was founded by a passionate group of parents and local leaders who wanted something different: a school that not only challenged students intellectually, but nurtured their growth as leaders, innovators, and compassionate citizens.
Authorized by the Colorado Charter School Institute (CSI), HPA was built on the belief that education should develop the whole child—through academics, wellness, technology, language, and community connection.
Nearly 10 years later, we continue to elevate how we support students holistically, building leadership skills that will last a lifetime. Our more than 60 educators and staff continue to partner with parents to help grow more than 400 students each year.
