HIGH POINT ACADEMY
School Structure:
A Journey of Growth from Pre-K to 8th Grade
Primary
School

Our Primary School lays the foundation for a joyful and engaging learning journey. In PreK and Kindergarten, our youngest Huskies learn through hands-on exploration, play, and meaningful interactions with peers and teachers.
Students begin building essential skills in communication, collaboration, and independence while developing a strong sense of belonging. Through a balance of child-directed and teacher-guided experiences, students grow in curiosity, confidence, and early leadership—setting the stage for deeper learning in the years ahead.
Elementary
School

In Elementary School, by the end of 5th grade, students engage in meaningful, real-world learning through interdisciplinary projects known as learning expeditions. These experiences connect reading, writing, science, and social studies around compelling topics that spark curiosity and critical thinking.
Students collaborate in teams, ask big questions, and take ownership of their learning. Throughout the day, they build strong academic skills while also developing character, leadership, and perseverance. Our classrooms foster a love of learning and a commitment to producing high-quality work that extends beyond the classroom.
In Middle School, students deepen their learning through rigorous, student-centered expeditions that challenge them to think critically and engage with real-world issues. As leaders of their own learning, students collaborate in Packs, participate in meaningful discussions, and present their work with purpose and pride.
With increasing independence, students use their voices to explore complex topics and take action in their communities. Our middle school experience prepares students not only for high school, but to become thoughtful, capable leaders who make a meaningful impact.
