High Point Academy’s play-based Early Childhood Learning Program offers students with diverse activities to develop a love of learning in our youngest students. Our curriculum, which focuses on sensory experiences, language and literacy, math and cultural understanding.

Sensory experiences: HPA uses a range of well thought out exercises to help children sort, match, and compare objects by shape, size, touch, taste and sound

Language & literacy: Language is used to help children understand the world around them and provide a way to express themselves to the rest of the world. Language materials are based on a phonetic approach to writing and reading.

Mathematics: We provide step-by-step learning activities that encourage cooperative play, problem solving and real-world applications.

Cultural understanding: Students will use dress up activities, puzzle maps, and cultural items to underpin activities which build their understanding of other countries, cultures, and people,
