Catherine Farrell

Catherine Farrell is an English as a second language (ESL) teacher at High Point Academy. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Niagara University in education and her master’s in English as a second language. Before coming to High Point Academy she taught middle school Spanish. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her niece and nephew and going to the mountains.


    Amy Flynn

    Amy Flynn is a Special Education teacher and Interventionist and is entering her 6th year of teaching. Amy will earn her Masters in Behavior Intervention in December. After graduation, she plans to attend UNC to work towards licensure to become a Special Education Director.  She is a Denver native but she has lived in 9 other states including Alaska and St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands.

    Amy is engaged and has an 18-year-old son and two future stepdaughters. She considers herself to adventurous and loves to laugh and have fun.

      Dawn Gioia

      Dawn Gioia is an instructional assistant at High Point Academy. She is currently pursuing a degree in political science. This is Dawn’s fourth year in education. Prior to joining High Point Academy she spent two years at Bromley East Charter School. In her free time she enjoys photography, traveling, shopping at target, and she is currently learning how to play the piano. Dawn has two kiddos, Poppy and Jack, a husband, William, and two dogs, Lady Jane and Wilson.


        Tamara Graff

        Tamara Graff is High Point Academy’s school therapist. In the past, she has worked as HPA’s enrollment coordinator and as a kindergarten instructional aide. Tamara also works in a private practice as a Marriage and Family Therapist in the Broomfield area, is an Affiliate Faculty member at Regis University, and is a supervisor to pre-licensed therapists.  Tamara earned her bachelors degree in psychology from Bluffton University in Ohio and her masters degree in marriage and family therapy from Regis University. In her spare time, she enjoys running, reading, hiking, going to the mountains, and spending time with her husband and dog.  As a Denver native, she also enjoys following Colorado sports.


          Michael Kenny

          Michael Kenny is an instructional assistant at High Point Academy. He earned his Bachelor of Arts History from Regis University whilst studying abroad in London at Arcadia University. Prior to working at High Point Academy, he worked in Cherry Creek as a lead 3/4s teacher. Every summer, he works at his old elementary/middle school in the San Francisco Bay Area, which specializes at teaching students with dyslexia and other learning differences. When he is not working he enjoys climbing fourteeners, surfing, going to museums and plays, as well as “nerding” out to history and Star Wars.


            Alenda Noble

            Alenda Noble is a reading intervention teacher and 8th-grade advisor at HPA.  She is in her 19th year of teaching and earned her Bachelor of Science in Business and Marketing Education from Central Washington University.  In her free time, she loves to spend time with her family, friends, and travel!


              Bri Poehler

               Bri Poehler recently moved to Colorado from Texas. She has a degree in Special Education and is entering her 2nd year of teaching. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, reading, working out, and being outside.  She is looking forward to this upcoming year at HPA!


                Katie Vining

                Katie Vining is an elementary reading interventionist at High Point Academy. Katie earned a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Valley City State University and a Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family Science with a Special Education Minor from North Dakota State University. Prior to coming to High Point Academy she taught in a fifth grade classroom for two years in North Dakota. In her free time she enjoys hiking, spending time with family and friends, reading and traveling.
