HPA offers various sports opportunities for students in 5th-8th grade.
Due to COVID-19, our Fall season, which includes Co-Ed flag football, Girls Volleyball and Co-ed Cross Country, has been suspended for the season.
However, we are planning to offer the students the chance to participate in a range of different activities/clubs that align with HPA’s COVID-19 safety guidelines, when we are back to in-person learning. the skill clubs that we could offer are as follows:
- Cross Country
- Track and Field
- Color Guard
- Cheer/Pep Club
In order for our skill clubs to stay within the safety guidelines, these clubs will only include students within the same grade level and coached by a member of staff within that grade level bubble or parent volunteer that will adhere to COVID guidelines.

High Point Academy offers the following sports for middle school students 5th through 8th grade:
- Fall: Co-Ed Flag Football (6th-8th grade), Girls Volleyball (5th-8th grade), Co-Ed Cross Country (5th-8th grade)
- Winter: Boys and Girls Basketball
- Spring: Boys and Girls Soccer, Co-Ed Volleyball
Player fees are $50 for every sport played, and players must provide a current sports physical from a doctor. Students are provided a uniform jersey at no cost, but it must be returned to the school at the end of the season. Students who do not return their uniforms will be charged $35.
This is a character-based competitive league. The coaches work for the teams very hard and they aim to win, but they decide on student play-time by skill, determination, and hard work. The harder an athlete works, the more play time he/she can expect to receive.
All athletes and parents are required to complete the following documents:
These documents must be submitted clearing the student for sports prior to playing in games. All athletes must maintain a grade of ‘C’ or above in all classes.
Weekly eligibility reports will be based on Friday progress reports sent home with each student, any student that has missing assignments in any class renders the athlete ineligible for any games that Friday through the following Thursday.

Girls on the Run is a program that inspires girls to be joyful, healthy, and confident using a fun, experience-based curriculum that creatively integrates running. Each Girls on the Run session culminates with a celebratory 5k run for participants, coaches, friends and family. HPA offers fall and spring Girls on the Run opportunities for 3rd – 5th-grade girls.
